THE LEGEND OF THE KOI

Long, long ago an aspiring sailor traveled across the world to Newport in search of the purest form of sailing. To pay her way, she took up work at one of the famed Newport mansions. With her, she brought her prized Koi who she secretly fed and cared for after introducing them to the mansion’s lily pond under the nose of the groundskeeper; unknowingly creating the first Koi Pond in North America. We digress..

After years of hard work and many nights doubting her quest she had a realization one night while feeding her Koi: the fish were most happy doing their famous circling. An aggressive pursuit of one another to establish dominance in the Pond. And just like that, after sneaking onto Weatherly disguised as crew, she infultrated the aftergaurd and taught them the ways of the Koi leading to the longest winning streak in the history of sport…
